Sadly we had to cancel our vocal workshop 'Sing into Spring' because of the increasing numbers of COVID cases in January of this year. However, there are now signs of spring all over the place; the nights are beginning to draw out, the snowdrops and crocuses are wonderful and soon it will be the turn of the daffodils!
Our next concert 'Songs of Springtime' takes place on Saturday 26 March at St Michael in the Northgate. We have a wonderful programme with works by Shearing, Moeran, Pearsall, Whitacre and introducing the young composer Anna Disley-Simpson. Her work 'The way through the woods' was written as part of the young composers scheme for the National Youth Choir of Great Britain. An inspiring piece of music with words by Rudyard Kipling, the choir creates mesmerising sounds of woodland to accompany the text.
Do join us for what promises to be a musical treat. Tickets are now on sale through Eventbrite https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/268891952067 and look out for this fabulous poster, created by a very talented soprano, on display around the city!
